PLS Pinterest Inspired: Lovely Life

Tuesday, May 2, 2017

Morning, y'all!  I'm up on the Pretty Little Studio blog this morning, sharing a colorful page, inspired by the Pinterest photo below.  Obviously, the colors were a stand-out for me; but I was also drawn to the floral elements and what appeared to me, overall, to be the setting for a party.  The compilation of such made the perfect environment for pics of my niece's 7th birthday celebration and the use of Ashley Horton's newest Ain't Life Grand Collection.  Enjoy!
I started this page with lots of puddles of pink, yellow, green, and aqua watercolors on the 12" x 12" watercolor paper, base page.  I then speckled it with those same watercolors, before adding a little Pumice Stone Distress Ink through a lattice stencil; stamping a scattering of tiny blooms in Jet Black ink; and splattering everything, once again, but this time with Pure Black and Titanium White acrylic paints.  My photos were then matted with white cardstock and placed in their present positions.  The top, far-right photo was also backed with a folded sheet of vellum; and the bottom, far-right one was dressed up with that darling Kaitlyn Vintage Die Cut, popped up with foam tape.
That same photo was then sandwiched between an Easy Breezy Shipping Tag, laced with white string, tied in a bow, on the left...
and a Love Life Words Die Cut on the right.
Another Love Life Words Die Cut, along with a couple of Every Day Cut-Aparts, one of which was used to house the June 15, 2013 date, can be found at the base of the left-hand photos.
A happy mix of Bloomin' Blooms Die Cuts, along with a circular heart Love Life Words Die Cut and Life Noted Flair Button, not to mention Cameo-cut, from white cardstock, flowers, one of which was backed with our Lovely Life print, and a hand-cut, from our Flower Power print, large blossom, top the design.  I also threw in a few stamped, in Cotton White StazOn ink, on punched vellum, flowers.
More of those same blooms, including an additional one, Cameo-cut; backed with the You + Me print; and dressed up with a Cameo-cut leaf, backed with our Summer Vibes' Lime Sundress print, surround the Love Life Words Die Cut, "LOVELY LIFE" title which was popped up with foam tape.
A couple more Cameo-cut leaves, one of which showcases Ashley's Take Note print, continue to surround that title die cut on the left; and a sprinkling of Holly Jolly's Snow Fall Sequins, as well as a touch of journaling, which reads, It was such a treat to get to help Deidra celebrate her birthday in person, completes the look.
Here's that Pinterest photo that inspired it all.
Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a terrific Tuesday, friends!
